I wondered what the Garterlac Dishcloth was doing under Crochet.

Isn't this BEAUTIFUL!!
Perhaps even better looking than the knitted Garterlac cloth.
(I wonder if the knitting gods will be wrathful over me saying that.)

Now who do I know who is a great crocheter? Hmmmm ...

First, thank you for the pattern, I think it is beautiful. I have attempted this several times BUT I just cannot get past the first row of triangles!! I am left handed so this could be my problem. Are there any videos I can reference for the pattern?? I really want to make some of these as gifts. Help! Please and thanks!

Very nice! Thanks for the lovely patterns throughout your blog! Being both a knitter & crocheter, I'm excited to try the crochet version as I love the knitted garterlac, it just takes a bit to complete with knitting. Thanks again!!

P.S. It's such a shame to see the spam & unfortunate that responsible party has nothing better to do with their time.

I have crocheted Judith Prindle's Garterlac Dishcloth - which she created 11/11/07, but I am unable to totally complete it. I'm having troubles adding Section Five. Is there someone who can assist me with this part of the dishcloth.

I love the weave style of this pattern. However, I take issue with section Five. You cannot cannot crochet five stitches and end up with six. And crochet2together on each row causes the section to narrow too quickly, and doesn't allow to fully connect to the next section.

For those having trouble, I have tried a variation of Section Three. Start by crocheting four stitches to the top of the previous section, ending with a crochet2together. Chain one and turn (5 stitches). On each return pass, crochet2together on the last two stitches, reducing the number of stitches by one. I tried this method, and it worked perfectly.
